General Plot Outline:
Romance of the Three Kingdoms in a 14th century historical novel about the ending years of the Han Dynasty. The story is considered on the the "Four Great Classical Novels" of Chinese literature (one being of the Monkey King). The story consisted of 800,000 words, and close to one thousand characters. The story has been translated in many ways in modern media. It has been made into more than 25 manga/manhuas, two movies (one being Red Cliff), six animes, eleven video games. The story was made into a live action drama in 1994, and at the time was the most expensive show produced in china at the time. Of coarse, it was topped with this current production of the show. With 95 episodes, and a budget of over 100 million RMB (about 15 million US)
